Megan grew up just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she lived until moving to New York City to attend Barnard College as an undergrad. While at Barnard, she loved getting the chance to explore NYC and to develop as a leader in a women’s college environment, and she was deeply involved in several community service and youth development organizations through Columbia University. In an effort to deepen her understanding of how educational systems operate and how best to meet students’ needs, she went on to earn her Master of Education degree in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University. Megan is a new resident to Madison after spending several years working for a college access program in Chicago, where she helped high school students from underrepresented backgrounds build the academic skills and habits needed to gain admission to and succeed at highly selective colleges
