Gabbi grew up in Naperville, Illinois where she attended North Central College and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While at North Central, she was part of the speech and debate team in which she earned three national and five state titles, and was named an American Forensics Association All-American. She was also president of the NCC College Democrats, a member of the Model United Nations team, volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, served as a Communication Department Preceptor, and also worked as an EMT-B. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Blue Key Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta, and Pi Sigma Alpha. After graduating with her Bachelor’s, she joined Teach for America-Milwaukee where she worked as a special education teacher, speech and debate coach, and tutor in Milwaukee Public Schools while also earning her Master’s in Education. She holds an additional Master’s from Marquette University in Political Science. Currently, she is a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis department where she is researching the K-12 landscape and how to make it more equitable for all students.
When it comes to working with students, Gabbi has a plethora of experience in advising, tutoring, teaching, and coaching students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Gabbi believes that every student is unique and capable of achieving their goals and works with students to do just that. In her free time, she looks to cook, listen to music, read, travel abroad, and be a dog mom to the best boy, Isaiah.
