Alanna grew up in the Milwaukee area and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Leadership, as well as, a focus in child development. She graduated with academic distinction. Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Alanna moved back to the Milwaukee area to begin a graduate school program in education. Alanna graduated from Cardinal Stritch University with a masters of arts in Inclusive Education. She has been a middle school teacher in multiple school districts.
Currently, Alanna teaches elementary special education for the Whitefish Bay School District in the Milwaukee area. In addition, Alanna is passionate about all students having access to STEM education and spends some of her free time coaching and mentoring middle school and high school level robotics teams. Alanna believes that all students should be met where their learning needs are and that they should receive the support they need to be successful.
