Daniel is originally from Oakland, California. He played collegiate tennis at and obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. After graduating, Daniel joined Teach for America and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he became a founding member of the Milwaukee Excellence Charter School. For three years, Daniel taught a variety of classes to 6th-8th graders, including science, math, and reading. He also enjoyed coaching the basketball, football, and track & field teams, as well as helping to found the school’s anime club. During this time, Daniel earned his master’s degree from Alverno College. He also worked as a volunteer assistant coach with the Milwaukee School of Engineering men’s and women’s tennis teams. Daniel is a student in UW-Madison’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program pursuing his passion for human health and movement. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing just about any sport, exploring Madison’s many restaurants and hiking venues
